The new love of my life

For a long time I have wanted to shower someone with love and feel their affection in return. Clearly, as is obvious here, my endeavours have been fraught with difficulties. Bad men, my issues and a multitude of other reasons have meant that things have not been fruitful, as yet, in that department. But a few months ago I decided that it was time at last to seek out love and affection - of the feline variety. So since December I have been waiting on weekly photos from a breeder, and finally last Friday, I was able to take home my little girl.

I present to you, Isabella Carmen.

More than one person has laughed and called her an alien. Many have commented on her lack of hair, and large ears. But she is the most wonderful, delightful and hilarious little being in my life. She has captured my heart and I am besotted beyond compare. I am now, officially, a middle-aged woman with cat, and somehow wonder where this might lead - eg scrapbooking and bingo? But for now, her cuddles and affection help me feel that my love is wanted by something.

Thanks Kerri - she is a pleasure every day - so far!

Dadicub - should I pass on those compliments to Mr RLT?

Sarah - Sad to say, my Mum actually helped with the name. Carmen is for the opera - not Ms Miranda - just in case you were interested.

MMQC - On the money - Devon indeed. Their little faces and affectionate demeanour suckered me in quite a while ago.

It looks either like a mouse cat or a cat mouse. I'm not sure which. Very interesting, though.

I have to say that I'm in the alien camp here. Buhey, if the cat makes you smile, then that gets my vote.

It (he/she) is unusual looking, but really cute, especially in a Gizmo kind of way!
